Highest Efficiency Number You’ve Seen?

Infinite.

For kWh/100km display, energy itself can't be negative in everyday use but the display is actually showing battery energy change / distance so that's OK.

The same should be the true for m/kWh (distance / battery energy change), but displaying negative miles / kWh would seem a bit wrong the first time you read it. So even though it would convey useful information I can see why they kept it positive. Displaying infinity for the case of 0 overall energy use is not ideal either.

Displaying infinity for economy is not unusual in some older ICEVs which had those analogue fuel economy gauges. As soon as you coasted and fuel injectors stopped supplying fuel the gauge moved hard to the one side indicating infinite fuel economy. When you stopped it would go to zero as fuel was being consumed without moving.

IIRC my petrol car displays consumption in gallons per hour when stationary.

I had an MFD in my old Golf, and I think it topped out at 400 mpg when the car was being towed. I used to watch its GOM a lot, and got wise to the lies it was telling me. 550 miles? No I really don't think so.

I had a trip once, filled up at the start, then after the first 267 km:

It wasn't too far out, still had half a tank remaining after 630 km.

Had a Mk6 2.0 GT TDI and that would do around 400 miles to a tank with normal commuting. Average was about 40mpg round town usually. My wife could beat me on the GOM on the Golf, as well as the MG.

The best I've seen is 6.3m/kWh over a distance of 2 miles, then I had to go up a short steep hill and it dropped to 4.
