Within 24 hours they arranged for a company called Romatech Ltd to provide a quote. This quote was for a non standard installation and they were the cheapest by far at £577 for an OHME smart charger.

I had smart meters and 25mm tails installed by Lowri Beck via Avro Energy my supplier on Monday.

UK Power Networks as DPO upgraded my 60amp fuse to an 80amp fuse on Tuesday. (They will come back and fit a 100amp fuse if I upgrade my 16mm tails to 25mm to consumer unit)

Romatech installer fitted my charger today with consumer box as I have an old style fuse box and no extra capacity. Very tidy job.

All for £577 and as I made an enquiry to OHME at Christmas they will give me an extra £50 back.

I looked at Ohme and like what they’re doing technology-wise. my slight criticism of their installations is they look untidy. I hate cables just hanging and I’m surprised they don’t have a better solution incorporating a more tidy looking installation. Apart from that can’t fault them for inovation and how they have thought about the market and used the technology to get good rates etc.
