Now it’s a bit warmer I am getting much better range.

MG ZS EV LR SE. Nov 2022.

Didn’t have aircon turned on. Was doing mostly 20mph as it’s the Welsh speed limit.

Can anyone beat this?

What's the highest anyone has ever got ie from unusual / freak situations. Mine was 18 miles per kWh. The car had been out in the sun all day (so HV battery probably at goldilocks operating temperature) and was going down hill at about 10 mph (due to traffic) in the IOW on a really hot day. Windows down due to low speed so no A/C.

Leaving my house & travelling downhill for 0.8 mile the car records 20mi/kWh. It will maintain this figure for a further 0.5 mile travelling downhill. It would appear that 20mi/kWh is the maximum, as it never gets above this.

My best has been 4.7, more interesting is I was going from home, north Wales to Ross on Wye last week end so charged from about 20% to 100% on my home, 7kW max charger and car showed a range of 310 miles in morning.

Solidly averaging 4 to 4.2 in mixed driving over the last 2-3 weeks.

Winter is usually around 3-3.2.

My average: 4.0 miles/kWh for 4000 miles in one year.

My best round trip: 5.4 for 30 miles drive in London in two hours at 19°C on 6 April. Average speed was 15 miles/h including waiting at traffic light.

I saw 17 mls/kWh once when I started from a hill top.

My highest range estimation was 351miles in normal driving mode in August. I only charged to 100% twice with my 23 reg ZS LR TC in past year.

The early morning run into town and back, 6 miles, was 4.0 to 4.3. Last week in the warm spell got 5.0. :)

Just got back from holiday in Dartmouth from Bristol and most days I was getting anywhere from 4.2 to 4.6 and got 4.0 for whole trip driving on motorway A roads and unamed roads ??

My best is about 12.5kWh/100kms ... not sure what that is in miles/kWh [ 5.0 mi/kWh ]

Driving at night in summer, aircon on, normal kers3, accelerating as softly as possible.

I got 7.2 miles per kWh driving home from work the other day, similar distance to the OP.

I drive mine like a normal ICE car, Normal mode Climate control on set at 22C and average throughout the year at 3.5 m/kWh. It's too much trouble to hypermile and be cold. It still works out at 2.7 p/mile (Octopus GO 9p a kWh for 4 hours overnight) I'm saving loads against an ICE car.

On a couple of occasions, I unplugged at work at 80% and after commuting 20 miles home ended up with 81% of battery. Dashboard showing around 5 mi/kWh for that journey.

It's all just guesstimation after all...

Yesterday, driving up from Shaftesbury to the M4, my miles/kWh topped at 5.9. The outside temperature was 29°C...

Not bad for my ZS EV MK 1..

The motorway back to South Wales still held up at 3.9...

I got a new record: 5.8 miles/kWh from London to Southend-on-Sea. It was against about 3 to 5 miles wind at 24°C on my 23reg ZS EV TC LR.
My 6000 miles average was 4.1 miles/kWh for past 16 months.
