Yes but don't ask for software updates. Tell them that the Bluetooth connection keeps dropping out and that the DAB radio looses the stations. MG will pay the dealers for warranty claims but not just to update the software because the owner asks for it.

Thank you! Yes, it is true that Bluetooth is dodgy and YES I am very surprised that Radio stations do not move correctly respite being RDS stations. I have tried DAB also but again a problem.
Are you suggesting that these bugs (and others) are fixed in a newer version? If so which one please ?

Anecdotal evidence suggests that Bluetooth pairing issues are resolved via an update to the TBox software. For your Luxury the latest available in France may be 1300R59, but I'm sure some of our French friends here can confirm ... in the UK 1300R63 is available.

Many thanks. Do we have other's in France on this forum ? I have contacted my dealer and she has said that she will talk to the EV Technician and get back to me. I'll keep people posted (if it's of interest of course !)

Ssshhh! the rules of the witness protection scheme say I should stay under the radar , plus they don't run to having a luxury version provided so only know about those versions through this forum. Mine was updated from r21 to r33 free of charge without prompting whilst having its 1st service , surprised really, as I was happy with r21. That was in Brive ,doh! Autopropre MG4 forum might have an answer.

So, my dealer called back this morning to advise that MG have specified that they remain on R30 for the time being. I mentioned that much later versions appeared to be available in UK. She merely repeated that fact that MG will not permit them to upgrade the software at the moment (for reasons that she was unaware). She said she would let me know when that changes (Note to self : call her in March 2025).

I suspect that she was merely passing on the reply from her technical engineer at the dealership. Question : does anyone in France have an MG 4 with a higher version ?

Can you post a screenshot of your version screen? It’s not just the software version there are some revision numbers: your R30 might not be the exact same as the ones from other models

Here it is. I tried the "tap 5 times on the "Entertainment System Version" and sure enough, a pop-up window appeared demanding a password. I tried the one posted here but it did not work; hence this is all I have).

SWI133 ... that's a different branch of software versus the SWI68 branch that we have here ... Your 1300R30 is probably indeed the latest in the SWI133 branch whereas 1300R63 is the latest in the SWI68 branch. That's why @fnegroni asked that question.

That's because in France, the distance you drive to the car in front of you at 130kmh on your auto-routes is much much shorter than the UK. Hence the different firmware allows the ACC to be able to drive with a gap of only 60cm to the car in front

Great, that worked. Here is a screen shot from this "shouldn't be seen by mere users" menu options. Frankly there are dozens of items on this Product Info page. Below seemed to be the most relevant. But, I cannot interpret any of the information. Anyway, FYI if in case you are interested or in case you wanted to compare against yours out of interest !!
