Hello all MG users!
I bought a damaged MG ZS EV MY22 which is now coming to me :)
There it was put on a tow truck with a forklift. Now it is coming to me and the driver says that the wheels are blocked. The 12V battery is completely discharged. And my question is: If I give it a good charged 12V battery, will the car allow me to switch to Neutral and push it off the tow truck? Do I need special rollers or a forklift? I need to unblock its wheels for 2 minutes :) and push it into my garage. What is the solution, have you checked it maybe sometime.
HV battery is of course disconnected and the car cannot be driven
Thanks a lot for your help
Best regards
Tom

I believe that the vehicle has to be able to go to ready to go into neutral. If I'm right, then that's a no.
But with the main contactors off, there should be no need to be in neutral at low speeds (under very roughly 40 mph). So as long as you can get the parking brake off, you should be able to push the vehicle around.
There may be an exception if the motor controller is shorting the motor. Then you might be limited to very low speeds (like 1 mph), or you may have to disconnect the motor.

BRING BACK ICE AND A HANDBRAKE!

Only kidding!!

So much easier in the old days moving cars about! ?

As per @Coulomb, if you have no power I would assume it will be bricked?

Try the new 12 volt battery, but even then, if that works, you will need to stay in the car as the brake will re engage when you open the door?

I think you will struggle to roll it off as you cant make the car 'Ready' but look forward to hearing what happens and learning something.

Maybe it will be useful to someone:
it must be: your 12V battery is well charged
1. you get into the car without closing the driver's door
2. you press start twice without pressing the brake (starting without HV)
3. you press the brake and release the parking brake (you press ONLY once☝️) - it switches to NEUTRAL
4. you release the brake
5. you get out and push your car with your own hands :)

If you get in and close the door in the first step, you will not have the pleasure of pushing your own car:) because when you open it to get out, opening it will cause the parking brake to be applied
