I had the dreaded HV cut off today but unlike other times it's happened, nothing I did would clear it.
Called the AA out, he checked the 12v battery ok then linked into the obd2 and found no errors (he said you never do see an error for this fault) but he cleared the codes anyway and presto, the car came to life.
He reckons there's a fault that might show up on MGs software but not on generic testers. Clearing the fault codes also clears the invisible error.
The other thing he told me and the reason for this post is that there's a software update for the MG5 that (he says) gets rid of the HV battery disconnect issue.
