Infotainment Protection? (And what is this...)

Hey guys, ive noticed the infotainment got a back door that can be opened... What is inside here?

And my main question is this:

How do you protect this device from sun heat and rays?

The other day it was so hot in here, and the screen was so laggish and then i touched its back side and noticed it was darn hot.

Every device when hot works slower.

Is there something we can use to protect it from heating up?

I saw this in AliExpress... No idea what exactly it does - like a tray? Put in there what? Dont mind... I saw it as a "shield".

Is there anything better?

I wish the designer of my dash mat could do a custom mat-cover for the infotainment. I'll request them this... But in the meantime...

Behind "back door" will probably be the fixing screws for the screen.

I use a windscreen sun shade to keep the interior cooler when parked. I use the AC blowing at the screen as well as the other areas when moving which will keep the infotainment screen from overheating. Although in the UK it's not usually a problem.

I have one of those Ali Express covers and I also use a sun shade when parked.
I also have wind deflectors so I can leave the windows open a touch most of the time.

How is that cover working for you?

I dont find much use of it... Except extra layer against the sun hitting its back directly.

Is it a useful tray?

It has a weird icon on the right and AliExpress doesnt speak much English

The icon on the right is showing you where a magnet is placed underneath the tray so you can place anything that sticks to a magnet there to hold it in place. I don't use the tray very much, I bought it mainly for protection from the sun.
