Is it really that difficult to update the infotainment at the dealer?

My car was at my dealer for hours today, trying to get the R63 update. When I picked up the car they just told me that the update stopped during installation, and that I had to come back another day.

Well, it's half-past midnight on 29th Jan in China right now... Maybe SAIC just unplugged their servers for the Chinese New Year holidays. Suggest you try again after 12th Feb

Mine goes in on the 14th Feb (first service), so maybe mine might be ok if they try to update but apart from the bluetooth drops everything is ok and now using a wireless AA so even better maybe.

One thing that made me laugh is that on the booking confirmation they state....

During COVID-19 we would encourage all visitors to our dealership to come alone or in a small group, and request that you use a face mask on site and use the hand sanitiser provided

15-20 minute job, easy to do:
Put USB drive in car, enter engineering menu, select update.
Plug in OBD, open SIPS on computer, update FICM.
