Hi, anyone had this happening with the ismart connection?
I've cleared the cache on my phone and restarted it, but still keeps coming up with the error.

I've just tried it but there's no problem on my end.

Have you tried connecting to your MG3 using 4G/5G instead of your wifi access?

You should also know that ismart accepts several connections but not simultaneously.

So I have access to Ismart on my smartphone but also on my tablet.
Obviously I can't open Ismart on my smartphone AND my tablet at the same time.

The access and presentation is slightly different on the tablet.

Either MG's servers are down, there's a routing issue (e.g. your car is parked in a mobile data "not-spot"), or your car has gone into a deep sleep. For the latter try unlocking then relocking the car using the fob.

I've just tried the app and it worked fine (after having to log back in as I got the "Token Expired" issue).

I get this all the time - just need to keep trying and if it keeps happening I go and stand next to the car and unlock and lock it again - usually works. Frustrating though.

Ha ha, I've just had @siteguru's "Token Expired" message, so I had to re-log in, then I got @Mikel14's "Remote control instruction failed" message, but it's probably because I haven't logged in for a couple of weeks.

For security reasons, Ismart regularly asks for your password again (I had the same thing with the application for my old Honda Jazz).

As you know, the application remains active in the background even when closed. So I think it's a good idea to force the application to close, and it seems that in this case you won't be asked for your password again when you open it again.

That message from MG is complete rubbish. It's now November and according to them the SIM package should have reset but hasn't

Did you get any more info about this problem?

I have been playing with it and found (for me) a simple process is when you have left your car for some time, the deep sleep that many mention does happen, basically everything shuuts down, just like a computer when it goes into hibernation. You don't have to insert the manual key omn an MG3 to wake it up, simply use the remote fob to open the car and you will find that the app will now communicate.
