Isnt it nice

Parking brake i think...there is a sound when it lets go (but thats on my GTD)

I don't seem to have any problems with my Auto-hold, it is working fine and just in the same way Auto-Hold works in Outlander PHEV (just saying it as a comparison that MG Auto-Hold does not seem to be in any way unique/weird)
What issue do you guys face with Auto-Hold ?
For me it works brilliantly once it was pointed out it requires the seat belt to be clipped in.

I have a very steep drive and almost crashed into the garage doors first time I parked the MG ZS EV as it would lurch forward uncontrollably. Also had stop/start trouble reversing back up the drive. The problem was my tendency to touch the brake while Autohold was on. Turned it off and it is a smooth, easy operation now.
I have also had this problem whereby the car lurched forward after I have turned it on. Fortunately, I planted my foot firmly on the brake before it reached the footpath! Not sure what I did wrong? Any advice would be appreciated. Jane

Odd that the same company can manufacture something that works well in one of their products, but not so well in another?
Autohold in the MG4 is an excellent and valuable function in my opinion.

What could be simpler than a little extra press on the brake pedal to keep the car still.

Pulls away smoothly on reapplying the throttle.
No quite the same case if I use the handbrake switch.
I find that on reapplying the throttle there is more of a lurch when setting off.
Lurch is too extreme a word to be fair.

But it is not as smooth as autohold.
I only use the handbrake if I catch the lights wrong and its dark, as I don't want to burn out the retinas of the driver behind.
