Think that answers the question....set app to 80% but it kept going
? That’s both you and @tsedge that that’s happened to after the replacement CCU has been fitted. Hopefully it’s just a software update that’s needed. ? I really don’t want to have to go to the garage again so soon. I wish MG could do an over the air update for something like this.Think that answers the question....set app to 80% but it kept going

Okay, that doesn’t bode well for me charging to 80%. If it doesn’t, I’ll inform the dealer of the issue, because it’s not good for our car’s battery balancing and hence life. And me.
That's true, although with all this DC charging to high levels I am tempted to keep going to 100% and see what effect it has. We won't be keeping the car for that long and the range is more than we need (SR range would do).Okay, that doesn’t bode well for me charging to 80%. Sorry to hear this - it does sound as if the car scheduling / limiting isn't working.I've been pointed in this direction from an MG4 group on Facebook. MY22 trophy collected in November 2022.
AC charging failed in November, car has been with dealer since. MG insisted on all software updates and then swapping hardware from donor car. Dealer claimed car would charge if heater was switched on so heater was swapped which didn't resolve it.
Had new CCU fitted this week, got it home Friday. Set schedule charge in car from 00.30 to 04.30, plugged it in, car started charging immediately. Tried a few times to reset (locked car, left it a while) but every time it ignores the schedule and starts charging immediately.
Tried scheduling the charge in the app, same issue. Am charging on a granny cable at present so no option for chargepoint to control start time. Fed up now!
Cheers Talky. Let us know how you get on. It’s not as bad as our initial problem, but it’s still annoying that we can’t schedule or limit a charge.Mine's in for a service on Friday, I'll bring it up with them then.
Yeah good shout. Mine is working fine and does what you said (locks charger in & handshakes, then sleeps until scheduled timeslot).Have you any timers set either in the car, on the app or your charger? The 5 second charge could be the car just doing a handshake with the charger and then waiting for the charging time to start.
I had the same problem in my case it turned out to be a faulty cable.Plugged in my spare cable bobs your uncle not had a problem since?Yeah good shout. Mine is working fine and does what you said (locks charger in & handshakes, then sleeps until scheduled timeslot).
Agree it's likely to be either the home charger with a timer set or the car and they're conflicting.
That sounds good, let us know how you get on.Had the service done today, mentioned the problems with scheduling and charge limit ignored and they have installed a couple of patches related to those two issues. They say it's now working as it should. I haven't had the opportunity to try it yet though.
