Bad luck :(
What sort of wind speeds were you getting in your area?

Yeah. Ridge tiles are quite heavy though.

Insurance claim already filed, and repairers nominated by the insurer. (Who happen to be the same people who repaired my old Insignia back in 2019 when someone rear-ended me at about 50 mph, when I was doing 10 mph because of traffic in front).

Had nothing but rain and sleet today, was in the western Highlands. That said I've seen videos of trucks being blown over so it must have been breezy somewhere :)

Sorry to see this, hope you can get the car and roof fixed quickly.
A neighbour has had the exact same thing happen to his house - ridge tiles come off the porch roof. Thankfully he'd already moved his car (BWM X5 M-Sport). He runs a Roof and Gutter company ....... :)

At least that's handy. Will he do it for you?
Mates rates. 😉🙂👍

Not a nice day ,in many respects, unlucky. It appears the cement bed on the hip has not adhered to the tile, if its happened to your neighbour as well then most likely goes back to when the housing estate was built. When its fixed get the builder to check all the hip and ridge tiles for their solidity.
Shutting the gate after the horse........you know the rest. :(

Ouch that’s nasty I feel your pain My garage and fence fell victim to those winds. Everything’s a bit of a mess. I don’t think the car is damaged but I need a double garage roof and about six or seven fence panels. A couple of bags of post Crete and some greenhouse glass I think might also come in handy.
I wasn’t keen to go out and check as the hoolie was blowing fine with stuff flying all over. Gonna be busy in the next few days.
