Kia Charge, public charging made easier.

Almost identical to the Skoda Powerpass app I received with my new Enyaq. Cheaper rates at most networks

As MG is a budget buy then you can't expect them to give away to much unfortunately

Ive already got a card like that. A Visa card has been around for years, is universally accepted at all petrol stations too.

Why try to make buying EV charging different to buying absolutely anything else?

I use contactless at all chargers previously but this give reduced rates (Ionity for 25p rather than 67p for example, other networks 25p). This is the only subscription I have and that is because it is free

So which card do you have?

The Powerpass card from Skoda. I received a years free subscription when I bought my Enyaq and I doubt very much I will renew when it expires. I will just go back to using Google Pay and only the two apps I used previously, Podpoint and Charge Place Scotland

These schemes are ok but they have built in extra charges. For the occasional user contactless credit card is probably better. Credit card payment should become standard as should fair pricing with controls in place. These schemes tend to drive prices upward and build in more complexity.

Profit... It's another revenue stream for them.
