Leave A/C on while doors locked

You risk getting your window smashed in even if ac is on on a hot day. Lots of heroes around. Keep the window down to a accommodate dogs head. Then keep AC on if you can. Cant the back doors be locked manually?

Fault after fault. Been to dealer at least 3 times, with no joy on a fix. Doors not unlocking. Windows not going up. 'EP' message where is shoukd be D, N or R when selecting drive. Yellow lights on start up. Latest excuse is that MG know about it, but they are dealing with all the other issues.
Now speaking to lease company to get rid. It's cheap for a reason IMO.
Bad luck for a rogue car, and of course you should return it!

Clearly not every car has a problem with the doors not unlocking, otherwise none of us would be driving it - and you seem to have been able to drive yours for 3.5K miles. I have no knowledge of the other faults you describe.

So, I think you could justifiably say, 'My car is absolutely shocking' - but not fair for you to condemn all MG4s outright!

whilst it isn't something that I've really encountered, have you let it charge to 100% once a month, as we do find an out of balance battery can be problematical (less on the MG4, but on my home battery system taking thing to 100% (calibration??) = problem solved)

It's a constant hassle with a dog, so I'd rather leave her in the car and leave the A/C on, but that means you have to leave the doors unlocked which is not a good idea, even for ten minutes. Is there any way around this?
After you lock the door could you turn on the A/C with your phone app, MG iSMART?

But it only operates at Max, which is a pretty loud and sudden noise, so maybe not good for a nervy dog?
It operates at whatever temperature you set it to, if the car is already cold it won't max out the fan speed.

In a similar(?) vein, I often don't feel the need to lock my MG4 every time I get out (on my drive, for example) and forget that the headlights and (aircon) stay on. Why don't they turn off when nobody is sitting in the driver's seat?

Are you enjoying your MG4?
