Light steering

Hi,
I have an MG HS Exclusive, does anyone else get a feeling of light steering, or even sometimes a feeling of that you're fighting with the steering, through corners etc ?

No it’s a big car and if you go too fast a corner you will fight with the car.

I assume you are not fighting against “Pilot Mode”. When on, the sensors watch the edge of the road and the centre line and try to keep you aligned - this does give a peculiar feeling while cornering. You get used to it and, for me, it works well.

I thought pilot was the cruise braking etc, lane assist is off.

Ah, OK. I use both together but you’re probably right if Lane Assist is off. To answer your original question - I don’t find the steering light - not even with a full load and a trailer. Best get that checked.

Hi,
I've read that page 46 in my handbook, it may be that, I've not had a car with electric power steering before, so it just might be a feeling I've got to get used to, still feels weird though.
