Sorry for being ignorant term wise, but what does 'Bump!' mean.Bump!
If you mean China, then install a raspberry pi with pihole as your dns server at home.I don't want the car calling home.
I'm a computer guy by trade, I understand the technology. But there's quite a big difference between Apple and the Chinese state. If you mean China, then install a raspberry pi with pihole as your dns server at home.
Why?
You will see your tvs and other devices sending information back "home" , continually.
Yeah I expect that message would come up based on screenshots I've seen. So long as it's just a popup, that's fine. It's a good point to make about messing, but I don't plan to do anything drastic enough to cause damage.I should imagine that disabling the comms would result in having "eSOS unavailable " popping up on your screen all the time . That would be too annoying for me to consider . I'm also a bit wary of messing with the built in electronics on any car leave alone a fully electric one
At the end of the day ,it's all up to the user![]()
I would have really missed the app on the day I locked my keys in the boot.I don't want the car calling home.
There is a module on the car which handles 4G/3G/V2X connectivity and is used for eCall and communication with the phone app, called the T-Box. Here's a picture: View attachment 30106

I'm investigating the possibility of disabling the car's ability to connect to cellular networks. I know the T-Box has a fuse, and I'd like to know how the car would react if that was pulled. Alternatively, I'm investigating replacing the aerial connection with a 50 ohm dummy load. I expect this will make the car behave similarly to if it had no service.
Thoughts and ideas welcomed!

It looks like there aren't any great matches for your search ?Verwijder het handschoenkastje (de klep). Bovenaan zie je de TBox hangen, bevestigd met 2 boutjes.
Worth a watch, the car sos system is down near the end.
Any sim card is vulnerable and with government backing it is much easier to track people.
