Which is correct, I suppose. If you’re machine cannot change the VIN then a trip to a dealer is required, unfortunately.I have bought a Diagnostic machine that can read and up date all the ecus and it has told me that the ccu ecu is not for this car
But if what @shpub suspects is true, then you may need a different CCU altogether as it’s not the VIN but the actual version that is causing the issue.
