Has the car 'gone to sleep'? It may do this after around 24hrs of inaction. Try opening and closing it.
Also tap the top left title to get the 'Vehicle Management' screen to see if you get any information.

We only collected yesterday and not had any success will keep trying

That's all info I get

I've hit an issue now.

When I originally installed the new app it seemed to work fine. I could follow the car charging wherever - on the granny lead, at a DC charger and at a public type 2. But then today, charging at an Instavolt, although the main page correctly showed me the state of charge and the range, tapping on the "battery" tile failed repeatedly. I was never able to see the charging power or the estimated finishing time, although I tried repeatedly to refresh.

Now I'm home and the car is on the granny charger, the same thing. Every time, "The remote control instruction failed, please try again later." It's getting the basic info to the main page, but the "EV Management" page ain't playing.

OK, it's working again. No idea why it was misbehaving.
Same happened to me for about 48 hours, then it suddenly started working again.
I have seen the same thing happen on the old App to be fair.
It just goes on walk-about, then suddenly returns ?.

I think it's been mentioned elsewhere but it's probably the servers that are either overwhelmed or having a maintenance programme run that are causing problems with logging in and data gathering. And before you say it's the Chinese I think they use AWS's servers (Amazon Web Services)

Thanks JonnyG and mrscooke,

I've been trying for 2 days to log into ismart after the update but as the T&C box wasn't visible, I didn't know it needed to be ticked to even start looking for it.

Finding somebody else on the forum with exactly the same problem was encouraging and the pictures and explanations helped me resolve my problem to log in successfully.

This is not an unforeseeable problem for app developers. Surely this should have been picked up in testing before the upgrade was imposed on users? Unfortunately it only reinforces my view of MG's IT (don't mention LKA) and is a massive black mark on an otherwise excellent car.

Looks like 2.0.2 brought back the schedule battery heating option for the ZS EV - I don't think it was there in 2.0.0 and 2.0.1.

updated to new version last week and for some reason the battery chsrging to Soc 80% doesn't work anymore. when it gets to 80% it seem to revert to trickle charging at 0.1 to 0.2 I stead on turning off completely like it used to. Is anyone else experiencing this. I have a zappi charger and it all worked fine e before this update.

Sounds like it just doing the normal balance charge at the end of the main charge. Let it run to completion - if it hasn't done one for a while it could take some time, up to an hour-ish.

Random link from a web search:

tl;dr - balancing ensures that all battery cells have equal performance, and lets the Battery Management System (BMS) understand what level of performance is available.

Balancing is best done at 100% state of charge (SoC) but the LR/ER cars can balance at a lower level (which is what you are seeing).

I guess it was there, but only appeared with the cache being cleared. and in my case following a suggestion above, deleting and reinstalling iSmart app.

So I can’t bind my car as it always says “to bind” even after I have scanned the QR code on the car and it logs in there. The App says it’s not bound. Sorry if this has been answered already but would be good to know if I am being an idiot ?
