MG X Power

Sadly I really feel MG are just going to shut there mouths now and do nothing ..

I took mine to the dealer to have the nav and software updated at the same time I mentioned the vibe guy test drove it confirmed it vibrated dealer was going to swap out wheels of new X power and do some testing etc etc “ we will call you tomorrow “ never heard back that was like 3 months ago and I got busy so I just haven’t bothered

With very low sales of the X power I see little reason for them to actually do anything ..

Coupled with less than half maybe actually making a huge fuss about it there is little incentive for them to do anything about it ..

Think I’m just going to swap out the tyres lower it and just leave it I really don’t have the time or energy to fight and fight and fight with my dealership when they clearly don’t want to help anyway..

Chalk it up to MG maybe not getting my business again when I’m in the market for a new EV !!

It kinda a dumb move by them really there could be a lot of brand loyalty if the issue was solved and MG said yeah here’s a guaranteed fix on your way happy motoring ..

I’d be inclined to say okay this was the first attempt at a true hot hatch EV yes it’s had its issues it’s lacks in some poor design choices but issues were fixed then they have gained me as a loyal MG customer because of that so im going to really consider the next gen MG4 X power then!

Now though with SO many new EVs on there way it’s only a matter of time before we get a better just as cheap hot hatch EV I may look elsewhere if BYD can give me a AWD 300kw 400kw hatch back at maybe a similar price then I’ll buy that instead ..

The BYD seal premium is a far nicer looking machine than the X power inside and out and faster I just couldn’t warrant or afford at the time 15k extra for it ..

After my Volvo s60 t6 a AWD car is a must for traction and safety and I’m sold on EV now just for sheer cheapness to run any company that can offer me a powerful AWD EV semi decent quality at a affordable price I’m sold..

Although I never get tired of the acceleration, I don't look forward to driving the car. More and more rattles are appearing, the rear doors have now started!
As mentioned previously in this and other threads, the car transmits road vibrations as soon as I drive off, so it’s not just the at speed vibrations that I have.

Luckily it is on a 24 month lease, however Im seriously considering changing at 12 months. If I do change, I will only need to pay back 6 months rather than the remaining 12 months.
Im fortunate to be able to do that and have sympathy for those who cant and are very frustrated by MG and its dealers.

I don't know what I will be changing to, it’s a pity the BYD Seal is a lot more expensive as I also like the look of it.
