MG ZS EV - Does using a non MG garage to fix my heating system invalidate the warranty?

Heating system turns itself off after, variously 2 minutes, 5 or maybe 10 minutes. Turn it off, wait and then back on gives an extra couple of minutes before it goes off again. Dangerous in my view when it doesn’t demist.

Annual service has been completed by 2 the two now nearest MG dealers (purchased nearest dealer gave up the franchise) Both have long waiting lists, one 45 minutes drive, the other 95 minutes away.
The one it was booked into last Friday just did the next service and failed to solve the problem on the job sheet. They can’t do more without a ’non waiting appointment’ over 5 weeks away. The other nearer dealer can’t look at it until mid October.

Using a third party garage to repair your car is an option and it will not invalidate the warranty, if genuine MG parts are used.
However, it will be very doubtful they will have the necessary software to evaluate the fault and apply any MG software upgrades.
Also, you will also be paying for their time and any parts required in the process.
Dealers will favour / prioritise service work, over any warranty work because it is quick / easy and provides an instant revenue.
Yes - The dealers do get paid for any warranty work carried out, but waiting for spares and then getting reimbursement from MG could involve a time delay.

Any MG authorised dealer can service and repair your vehicle providing they follow MG protocols. Even Kwikfit can do it. You do lose the AA cover though.
