It gets very cold in the section where the pedals are in my 2021 electric MG ZS EV model vehicle. I took it to the authorized service in two different provinces, but they said there was no problem. I measured the lower part with the gadget below, and the seating area. The result is that there is a temperature difference of 10-12 degrees C, I recorded this situation with videos. However, the answer from headquarters is 3. It was in the form of taking it to a technical service. While the temperature inside the vehicle is 18-20 degrees, the foot section is 6-8 degrees. My feet are exposed to the cold like in a refrigerator. I wonder if anyone has a problem similar to this? As seen in the picture, there is a serious temperature difference when the upper part and the foot section are compared.

Yes, I've noticed this. I can have the heated seat on to keep warm, but my feet get cold and I have to revert to the inefficient cabin heater.

Have you directed the air to blow down to your feet? How is your heating set up? If you have it blowing onto the windscreen only, your feet will be cold, no surprises there.
post a photo of your ventilation setup screen please.

Even though the ventilation is completely closed, there is a temperature difference between the two sections. I also adjusted the ventilation section from the feet to be directly on the upper section. The result did not change. I also tried the options of inside the vehicle ventilation or outside ventilation, but there was no difference.

Set the ventilation to blow to your feet only - like this in the photo, turn the heating to maximum and fan to maximum and see if it blows down to your feet. If you can't feel any hot air there, the flaps that open and close the vents are not working, need to have it checked out ...

When the ventilation is on, the foot section gets hot, there is no problem with that. When I turn the ventilation off, the temperature of the upper section does not change, while the temperature of the foot section drops very quickly. While the temperature in the upper section is 22, the foot section is 14 degrees Celsius

As seen in the photo I added in the message, the upper part is 18 degrees while the foot part is 7.5 degrees. This is the situation when the ventilation is closed.

I see. You should just adjust it to keep your feet warmer 🙂. Cold air will be coming in from where your steering wheel and pedals are ...

or nice thick woolly socks 🧦😉

Even though the air conditioning is on at 27 degrees and the air is in the upper sections except for the feet, when the upper section drops to 26 degrees, the foot section drops to 14 degrees. Unfortunately, it is impossible to drive the vehicle in this way.

Sorry if I am saying something you already know but... Just checking you are aware that you can select in the infotainment screen where the airflow is directed as in the photos below. At least, this is how my ZS EV Long Range 2023 works.

No problem. The ventilation system works without any problems. The problem is that even though the ventilation is closed, the foot section is 12 degrees colder than the other areas while traveling. It is as if there is a cold storage under my feet and my feet are cold as if they are inside this cold storage.

I think the problem may be related to the insulation of the battery cooling system.

Maybe the solution could be a system that provides floor isolation for the driver's compartment.

I assume Veysel's car is a Mk1, which is completely different than the Mk2 models noted above.

I have a Mk1 and have not noticed a huge difference between feet and hands with the heater off - I get cold all over! I suspect there is a gap in the bulkhead between the cabin and the under-bonnet area which is letting a draught in. I wonder whether the car has been in an accident and poorly repaired?

Well there may be a vent pipe disconnected somewhere, or even left off altogether.
Back to the supplier!

I think you’re in a different model Fred
yes, mine is newer ZS but as I understand, he said it's fine with the heating on. I'm pretty sure it's down to settings only. Told him already to direct the max heat and fan speed to feet only and check if it works (what you suggested that it might be blocked or that the ducting/pipes are disconnected) and as far as I understood, he said that works fine ....

I wear an additional pair of socks, and set the in cabin ventilation to circulate and not drawing for the outside. Still bl&&dy cold at times..
Just another EV ownership issue I guess.
