Just to help you all with updates... I ordered a red LR trophy and been told today that it is due 12th July. Looking at Portbury this should be the ship Splendid Ace which has just left China.
Ordered beginning December from MG in Derby.
Hope everyone else's is on the ship!

Just received an email from Glynn Hopkin’s my dealer.

I ordered 28th November 2021. Trophy connect Blue LR

Not built yet. ????????

So loads of Trophy’s are showing up soon but no Connects it seems. MG is keeping to their plan as Miles mentioned in the podcast.

I wouldn’t mind a 72 plate as it’s my birth year but rather have a 22 plate since that’s how I old feel.

Another update today from Shanghai

This was for a car ordered in November 2021 and originally scheduled for delivery in March!! I'm not putting any faith in this new estimate given the 2 previous estimates have proven to be false...

Just a quick message to let you know the dealer is now advising that due to lockdowns in Shanghai where the vehicles are produced, they are advising the September date is now the most accurate for these vehicles to arrive in the UK but have said it could be longer than September. Any new information we will be in touch to advise.

I dont see anyone receiving the LR SE model. Its mostly Trophy and every now and then a Connect

If it's the 10-digit reference from MG's central ordering system, then you can quote it in an email and request the status from [email protected] - that's where some of us have gotten our update(s) from.

They do have a phone number too (0203 917 5821), never been of use though.

Make SRs and other trims except LR Connect until the demand is mostly fulfilled. LR Connect will be super delayed. Many Nov/Dec 2021 orders were LR Con so expect a large number of very unhappy customers.

Surprised by that, surely the SE requires less chips etc. I have a SE LR on order since mid December.

I think the problem is mainly down to the chips material etc. required for the battery for the LR compared to the SR. Also the SR and LR Connect is affected even more so.

There are dealers out there with new stock. This is the crazy thing. They just can't shift orders to waiting customers as they'd be billed £1500 by MG UK.

MG UK seem perfectly happy to let waiting customers down whilst cars sit around.

It's plain stupidity.
