I wouldn’t bother charging on anything faster than a 50kw CCS tbh. I don’t know what the charge rate curve vs % looks like on the MG but I assume it will drop off to around 50kw pretty soon anyway. I have a Peugeot e208 that is capable of 100kw DC charging but you never get it, I think the most I’ve seen is 75kw at 10% SOC.Yes but I was more interested by the 92 kW charge statement for the LR as I'd assumed it was a 76 ish maximum. There had been some suggestions, such as the ev-database, that 92 kW was possible but generally 76 kW seemed to be the tops especially after Miles' charge test. Nice to see that more should be possible officially.
[Edit: Just to add to the confusion even the ev-database link has reverted to 76 kW maximum]
Nearly here, here's hoping at least some of our cars are on it!Durban Highway has just about entered the Bristol Chanel.
Only in Europe.Did I see right the LR has 11kw on board charger?
Thanks for info. Morale is up again ?For those traking ships coming into Bristol. There is the following this month:
1) Durban Highway 9th Feb
2) Viking Sea (not the cruise ship) 11th Feb
3) Brasilia Highway 23rd Feb
4) Emerald Leader 28th Feb
5) Heroic Leader 28th Feb
We can continue to live in hope
That would still have to be 2200 MGs per ship to hit 11,000 expected by end of Feb. Possible but is it really probableFor those traking ships coming into Bristol. There is the following this month:

I think they mainly find out after they land here and are allocated by MG UK?It appears to me that, as no one on this forum has said they have had a delivery date for Feb/Mar, then can we assume dealers don't know what's coming until the vehicles have been discharged from the ship? Surely MG should know what has been loaded in Shanghai and during the 3 week voyage alert dealers as to what's coming?
My understanding exactly. MG UK are the only people that might know the numbers at this point.I think they mainly find out after they land here and are allocated by MG UK?
My MG HS PHEV is due March......maybe. According to a old pod cast awhile ago they know numbers but MG UK do not allocate until cars are here.It appears to me that, as no one on this forum has said they have had a delivery date for Feb/Mar, then can we assume dealers don't know what's coming until the vehicles have been discharged from the ship? My dealer says the expected delivery date for our SR is still end of march ??It appears to me that, as no one on this forum has said they have had a delivery date for Feb/Mar, then can we assume dealers don't know what's coming until the vehicles have been discharged from the ship? For clarity; it's an additional option. If you don't spec it you'll get the 7kw charger.Only in Europe.
No, not in Europe. The SR has only a 7kw charger, but all LR version has a 11KW, it’s not an option hereFor clarity; it's an additional option. If you don't spec it you'll get the 7kw charger.
Might be country specific; No, not in Europe. The SR has only a 7kw charger, but all LR version has a 11KW, it’s not an option here
Also, you can’t spec à SR with an optional 11KW
