Does anybody know how to stop MGZS EV from (creeping whilst in traffic) only way I can stop is to keep the break fully pressed, or switch to neutral
If you switch on the auto brake button (down beside the handbrake button) then you dont have to keep you foot on the brake when you stop. It will hold the car in traffic and just lightly press the accelerator to start moving again. it should also show an A in a green circle on the display when its engaged\using it.Does anybody know how to stop MGZS EV from (creeping whilst in traffic) only way I can stop is to keep the break fully pressed, or switch to neutral

("Auto hold" is the name in the manual, but yes it's good ??)Thank you, auto brake button works perfectly
Auto Brake Button does the job perfectly, no more "creep"
New tricks...?Having driven autos for years, I prefer the creep.....
I use to put the hand brake/switch on mine. TonyDoes anybody know how to stop MGZS EV from (creeping whilst in traffic) only way I can stop is to keep the break fully pressed, or switch to neutral
With you on that one.the car can suddenly start moving if your right foot so much as looks at the accelerator.
With you on that one.
I don't understand where I am supposed to put my right foot when it's switched on, dangle it in the air, hover it above the accelerator or the brake, being careful not to touch either ?
I don't know, is that what you're supposed to do ?Can't you rest it on the brake pedal?
You can't undo auto hold by touching the brake pedal so yeah why not ??I don't know, is that what you're supposed to do ?
I have got a new car yesterday and the hold button doesn’t seem to work when I pressIf you switch on the auto brake button (down beside the handbrake button) then you dont have to keep you foot on the brake when you stop. I thought the whole point of Traffic Jam assist was that you didn't have to touch the accelerator pedal to move off ?As said use the automatic traffic assist function (activate cruise control then pull the stalk towards you twice). You’ll need to touch the throttle peddle to move off when the car in front moves and it will do the rest itself (including steering).
There's a time limit on it. After 10 seconds or so, the car will apply the auto hold and alert you to touch the accelerator when the car in front moves forward.I thought the whole point of Traffic Jam assist was that you didn't have to touch the accelerator pedal to move off ?![]()
Thanks, I've only used it once and the traffic was moving slowly and never stopped for as long as 10 seconds. There's a time limit on it. After 10 seconds or so, the car will apply the auto hold and alert you to touch the accelerator when the car in front moves forward.
