I have Trophy (not Connect) and as far as I know, the only difference is that you have some voice commands (open window, close sunroof, etc...), you get 1 year of Amazon music for free (never listen to it and you can use your phone for music anyway) and I think you can use the car as Hotspot for WiFi wireless connection (not needed for me as any UK phone comes with some free data). Not aware of anything else extra.Could anyone explain difference between Trophy and Trophy Connect? Are all ZS in 2024 able to connect to the Internet? For updates do you have to go to the dealer? We're hoping to get a new or nearly new ZS before they're all gone.
Thanks that's really helpful. We are quite computer-literate but are moving from a history of manual Citroen diesels. We have a radio/CD and cruise control but that's it, so this is all new to us. Dealers are saying that they're expecting the ZS to be phased out now, so are selling off the last ones. A new Trophy is approximately 1.5k more than SE, would you recommend it?
Thanks very much for the advice. We found carwow very useful to identify the range of prices. Today we visited a local dealer just to test drive a ZS and were surprised to find they offered us a price 5k less than they had submitted on carwow,T
Check it out here:
I check out the cheapest basic car specifications and then think what's missing and what would I like different. By the time I would add all optional extras, it turns out much cheaper to buy top spec model and get a few other extras "free". If you think of each extra adding £100 or so to the car value (obviously it's subjective, sunroof for me is worth quite a bit more extra), I would pay extra for Trophy but I would shop around. Some Trophy models are without sunroof - you definitely want one with sunroof for the same money!
Consider whether you need long range model if you are driving long distances over 2-3 hours without stopping. If not, standard range is enough, I stop after every 2-3 hours anyway and so far no problems with range.
You can bin all your CDs. Download them to your phone, it connects to the car via USB cable and that gives you Android Auto with Google navigation and other bits ... or Bluetooth connection for music and phone calls...
Finally, don't stick to your local dealer, search for the cheapest equivalent and then if you really want to stick with the local one (difference could be up to £3K) ask them to price-match. Use CarWow or other car price websites for deals. Or MG website.
Carrying a canoe - exactly the reason I just bought mine.Hi
Just ordered a long range ZS yesterday, as our Nissan Leaf has been such a success that we're going fully electric, and needed one that can carry a canoe.
Good experience at the dealer and test drive, with the one grumble about why most cars make such a meal of speed limiters; they're such a precious and simple thing. Oh well.
Your forum has been helpful so far and am sure we will have plenty more questions.
Cheers
