MG4 12Volt battery not charging

So why not wait? Confused...as MG4 battery drain issue has not even started to crawl never mind stick its head above the parapet yet. Battery drain on an EV is the same as an ICE car just that you can't momentum bump an EV. I honestly would suck it and see

There's a good chance I won't do anything straight away, or maybe at all. I was just hoping to have a look around prior and be prepared, just in case. Each to their own and all that jazz I haven't had any issues with the current EV 12V but I like I say, I just like to be prepared

I would consider buying one of these or something similar

That way you have a ready backup for "just in case"

I have the next Noco up - to be able to cover off family derv's if they have the same issue ..

Could someone be kind enough to detail the specs of the 12V Battery, please? We're STILL waiting for our car but I'm thinking I may swap the 12V out for a slightly better, and hopefully future proofing it a bit. Probably a little drastic but hopefully it'll be one less issue further down the line.

If replacing the 12v battery, don't bother with one that has a high CCA (cranking) spec. These ones, aka "traction" or "starter" batteries are for ICE cars to turn the engine over, something we EV owners don't need.
Instead, look for a "leisure" battery from the marine or caravan/motorhome industry. AGM types are better than lead acid ones but come with a price to match.
For a better understanding, Google "leisure v starter batteries"

Battery problem occurred again after 3 months or so,with the red engine icon lighting up, this time took it in straight away as also had a problem with charging. Isuue on forum as 'Unable to cjarge my SE' After software updates and charging the 12v battery they say it is fixed. Will wait and see.

Did the software updates work? Are you still on the original battery?

Mine starts charging the 12v as soon as I sit in it, before pressing the brake pedal.
It showed 14.1v on the tyre pressure monitor page today.

Dealer said they upgraded the S/W and charged the battery, dont think its a new one. So far its ok.
