MG4 Software Update Thread

I get that, I'm asking about the SW P/N as on my Trophy when this was 68.3.3.9 before (star button problems with R46) 68.4.3.0 after (no star button problems).
What does mean SW P/N? I understand that this is software version, but software of what?

I thought it`s SWI68-29958-1300R59, isn't it? Ok, what means ECU in that case?
Well the SW P/N is actually something like 11-64-30-76-1
The FICM MCU is likely 68.4.3.0 (but the quote of BishiBoshi was talking about this version)
The FICM MPU is like SWI68-29958-1300R46

Most of it has come from RMI.MGmotor.eu
R46 came from a member that got the update from MG & they left the USB stick in the car (on page 153), which has happened again with R59 but we weren't lucky enough to get a copy
Unfortunately no one has been so lucky on a SE as far as I know
If we could find how to access USB based updates or a friendly tech that's willing to share that would be great but until that time we're stuck with whats left in cars

It happened with R59 too?

Does anyone know if R59 solves the, at least for me irritating issue that for every new trip the driver has to manually set basic drive modes like one pedal drive and ECO drive mode?

Reminds me of updating the satnav on a Vauxhall Vectra.
It got so bad, the owner's club maintained a thread for people to post the required (expensive) DVD from one person to the next on the list.

It does not, and yes, it's annoying! Again, future s/w updates should retain all previous settings except for emergency lane keep (ELK), which is likely governed by legislation, e.g: must be active on start. Also, ELK should not need confirmation after selection, you're not gonna select it from shortcut menu by accident! OPD should be the default also, it's hands down the best, most obvious form of driving offering the most car control. On the driving mode, defaulting to Normal is fine, but rotation through modes, via shortcut button, disables OPD when Snow mode selected. This should not happen. These are all minor defects on my list to be submitted to MG for review, fixes.
