MG4 sudden weird charging behaviour

Hi all, I've had my MG4 since June. I've always smart charged it via the wall charger app to charge off-peak between 12-7 to my EV tariff and ignored the MG4 inbuilt schedule. This has always been absolutely fine.

Anyway all of a sudden now when I unlock the car, plug in my type 2, the car is locking itself (charging plug and car) and charging straight away. It's never done this before. It's always deffered charge in line with the App. I can stop the charge via the ismart app but when I do this my smart charge won't kick in any longer later on that night as scheduled for some reason.

Very odd, I've changed no settings in the car.

My wall charger is a BG.sync EV charger and uses the EV.energy app.

If anyone can shed any light into why it's suddenly doing this and preventing me from smart charging that would be most helpful?

Hi all. I just fixed the problem. The issue was down to the EV.energy app rather than the car. I disabled smart charging in the app, refreshed it untill it picked up the car was charging (acting as a dumb charger), stopped the charge, enabled smart charging again in the app and its been working again ever since.

Just in case anyone has the same wall box / app. It might be useful to know if you ever have the same problem.
