I think windows should be an optional extra and have a waterproof interior. Some people don't deserve windows. ?
Windows? What was wrong with DOS?
You missed an R and an S out.Windows? What was wrong with DOS?![]()
It would be nice to know what this patch was.My drivers door window went fully down on the Trophy when the 12v battery went flat, I assumed this was a planned occurrence to allow access to the car if the 12v battery discharges below a certain voltage (I had left the car for 8 days).
The dealer said it was a software fault and downloaded a “patch” and I have had no problems since but I have also not left the car unused for any length of time to check it out.
So I put our new Trophy on to charge last night. We listened to the rain hammering down for hours. In the morning the rear drivers side window was wide open. Going to garage today will see what they say. I’m blaming the car atmEnjoying my trophy apart for some minor issues with the infotainment system . I had the passenger side window completely open after returning from a walk yesterday. Thanks I will now keep an eye on this when locking. Thought it was my age ! ?
Last night when it was chucking down. The rear drivers side window was fully down. Everything soaked. WTF.Hi Folks,
I`m new to this forum (first post) loving my MG 4 Trophy at the moment ! But I think I might have a problem with the windows when the car is locked up. I have noticed the rear windows have dropped slightly and the front passenger window was dropped fully one night making the passenger seat soaking wet. I`m pretty sure all windows have been shut each time (I am monitoring). Has anyone else had this issue?
Neil
Hi Les - I’ve once had this problem with my MG5. I parked at the side of the house, plugged the wall charger in and locked the car. There are quite a few MG4 owners who have had this issue and I have been checking my wife’s 4 for a long time now so when she first had it this window open scenario happened a couple of times luckily it didn’t rain. I think the problem is with the window switches in the drivers door arm rest they are not flush with the arm rest and the car is still switch on with everything still powered up until you lock the car so if you catch the switch even very lightly as your getting out of the vehicle a window switch can be operated and you may not notice there’s a window open so we have been turning the car off via the infotainment screen after checking all windows are closed before starting to get out and it as never happened since now this is just my thoughts on the matter.
Les.
Hi Archie thank you we are good but the same to you and yours.Hi Les - I’ve once had this problem with my MG5. I parked at the side of the house, plugged the wall charger in and locked the car.
I then got nattering to the new neighbour across the road and, as we parted, he said “ you do know you’ve left a window open?”
I actually found all four windows open. I’m sure I was the culprit but I’d never admit to it ?
Hope you and yours are well.
Archie
Yes an agree but a software update Tom, for the windows I have never known there was one to be honest. There have always been suspicions of a bug here but no proof. Worth getting the latest car updates from your dealer anyway.
We left our MG4 in local M&S car park on the end of the row nearest the store entrance. When we came out the rear window facing us was completely open. Are the controls wireless? Could it be triggered by another car's zapper? So I put our new Trophy on to charge last night. We listened to the rain hammering down for hours. You more than likely caught the window switch when exiting the car and didn't notice the window opening. I did this once when I first had the car . I thought it had opened by itself but hasn't happened since in 12 months. We left our MG4 in local M&S car park on the end of the row nearest the store entrance. Exactly the same as me #148You more than likely caught the window switch when exiting the car and didn't notice the window opening. I did this once when I first had the car . I thought it had opened by itself but hasn't happened since in 12 months.
Maybe, will experiment. Cheers. You more than likely caught the window switch when exiting the car and didn't notice the window opening. I did this once when I first had the car . I thought it had opened by itself but hasn't happened since in 12 months.
