Just a bit of fun Chaps. (Any Chapesses?)

If you want to add your vehicle and any modifications you have carried out that would be great.

I am genuinely interested to see what you have done (or not done) to your cars.?

My car is in Racing Green which I adore, and is a fascinating colour to see in the
flesh.

I fitted front and rear dash cameras for peace of mind.

I liked the front blade trims so added them along with a blacked out MG front badge cover.

Too Phat for some ?

Next up was an LED interior light package which gives some welcome illumination in the rear of the car.

I also changed the front courtesy lights for LED items.

A rubber mat set was next, front and rear which is essential for me living at the end of a country lane.

Next up came a Quadlock phone mount.
It's what I use on my motorbike, so I knew it would be great in the car.

My tyres were up next, something I would have done anyway, regardless of the vibe issue, which as you may know, has virtually eliminated them in my case.

The new tyres have also put paid to any more off roading I was planning on doing.

?

I am extremely happy with my car at the moment but do have a couple of other mods in the pipeline for the future. ?

Edit: I forgot to add....
LEDs, for the rear indicators and reversing lights.
Mud Flaps.
Driver Visor Extender.
Centre console storage tray.
Black X Power Badge.
I have only had my MG4 about 6 weeks - and am a chapess who has never done such a thing in her life - but inspired by this forum and some great videos posted last year by Alansurfer I am going to have a go at a few upgrades. First the courtesy lights to LED, then fit mudguards and have even ordered a black badge and some 'fangs' for the air intake vents! More prosaic, but have also sensibly ordered some rubber mats for the winter season. Depending on how successful I am, I may have a go at interior LEDs. Cannot believe what has come over me :)
One thing I am sure would be beyond me but I would appreciate would be hydraulic openers for the boot. It is really heavy. I'd be grateful if anyone could point me in the right direction. Thanks

Hi Jayenn!

Only the second Chapess in an X Power that I know of, so welcome!

You can get an electric strut kit to replace the weedy hydraulic items already installed but it's a hell of a faff to fit even if you're pretty good at DIY, hence I haven’t bothered.

All the other bits are child's play but good prep will mean stuff doesn't fall of after a couple of months.

Get some pictures up when you're done.
We all like a piccie or two on here!

There are plenty of posts on all the stuff you're thinking about and even a detailed one on the electric hatch opening kit in here somewhere??

Just search the keywords up above top right of the page.

Thanks everyone. That is a great video re the electric tailgate, Clive, but the work is well beyond my capabilities. I shall look at the costs and will have to 'get a man in' if I decide to proceed.

What's you thoughts or experiences on.
Mobile supply and fit, tyre, companies.
Thought I might, give um a go. After all they come to you, obviously. So no need to. Put them in car, take them to the tyre shop, put them back in the car, etc. You get the idea. Only slight worry is them damaging the wheels. Although the website says they won't. Any experiences, anyone? 🙂👍

Why Yes Tony.

Used a few over the years.

Mobile fitters and mobile refurbs.

Got them to come to work so that tyres (or wheels) were done ready for when I went home.

No point recommending though as they were local to Bath and Cross Hands (South Wales)

We used a company called Event Tyres for many years on our 996. But I just did a search and seems they no longer trade. Shame because it was very convenient and they took good care of the Porsche's alloys.

Guess it's all down to the local fitter these days - maybe more gig workers around than genuine companies?

Just had a delivery from MG Titan. A steering wheel cover, mud flaps and sill plates.

The wheel cover was a devil to fit, it's really tight - shouldn't be any slippage issues with that!
I'm waiting for a warmer day to fit the sill plates and mud flaps, really need a warm surface for the tape to stick to and I don't fancy grubbing around on a wet drive to fit the mud flaps!
