MG4 X Power Vibe/Hum 65 to 75mph

Leasing is usually much cheaper, hunt the deals out.

Also you can usually buy the lease car at market / auction value at the end .

Leased my Model 3 for 3 years, lease cost was 18k during that time and i could have bought it off them for 19k, so 37k for a car that was 40k at the time and zero interest.
They take the full hit.

What benefit does that give? Will it be cheaper or more expensive than PCP?

Well it would have been far far cheaper for me to lease my Xpower.

I've lost over £14000 in depreciation in 18 months using PCP. Fortunately that loss is now capped by the optional final balloon payment.

That would give me the equivalent of around £777 to lease per month and that would get me a lot with no future VED to pay either !!

But for £20K you can buy an 18 month / 2 year old XPower with 10K on the clock. Then it's all yours - no balloon payment in 2/3/4 year's time.

What's stopping you then ?? 😉😊

MG UK and it's poor customer service, fob offs and dealerships are stopping me. I'd never buy an MG again, much as I love my Xpower 😉👍. This 63 page thread is testimony to that if you read it all !!

Agree, but if you get a good un and a good dealer. Your ok. 🤪
I know it's a bloody big IF, but perhaps worth a look. 😉🙂👍

The big if to add to that is the biggest one, have they cured the issue on newer cars or just done a good job masking it.

And as @Bricktop X PWR has mentioned is it possibly causing premature wear on components that could be close to or out of warranty then you have little to zero chance of MG UK stepping up and covering it.

They won't accept responsibility on nearly new cars no way will the cover 3 or 4 year older ones.
Amongst the worst after sales I've come across.

Sal right @JonnyG m8.

You are not alone.

If my rejection hasn't happened by September, I too, am the thick end of 15k down with 24K to settle the PCP.

Which I was going to do at the start of my ownership.

My X Power was going to be a 5 year car.

To make me feel better I'm looking at it as Roughly £625 cost per month, with zero money down. (Lease Deal)

I've certainly paid more per month in the past for a car.

Whatever happens, I will look back on my time with the X Power as an absolute performance bargain, the likes of which, I will be surprised if we ever see again.

I still highly rate the package overall, minus the obvious. (Obviously) 🤣
