MG5 wind Deflectors

ClimAir sells the front set only for MG5 EV 2021 and has the choice of Smoke Grey, Dark Sport, and Clear, they ship it from Germany, I went for the Smoke Grey, and the total cost of it was around £60 for me. Here is the link: Climair Wind Deflectors. It was a tight fit, but worth it as no metal clips are required. Don't bother buying the one that sticks onto the door chrome strip from eBay/Amazon/AliExpress, as rain/water drops leak through the metal hinge that hooks on the chrome strip when travelling at high speed.

I've had Climair ones on my Ampera's front windows for the last 6 years and they've been very good. I often like to have the driver's window open a bit and these stop rain coming in when it's wet.

CLIMAIR WIND RAIN I looked at few different types and most of them "stuck" to the outside of car. The reviews were ok but not as good as the climair ones. There were a few reviews on youtube as well. In the end I found the climair ones on amazon at a slightly lower price than direct from climair. Amazon had a separate listing for clear grey and dark so be careful which one you chose. I have a facelift 2022 mg5 trophy which has dark windows in rear, so I chose the light gey ones as possibly best fit. They came in a very sturdy box which meant no chance they get broken in transit. (See pictures) The climair ones slide into the window channel (See pictures) in just a couple of minutes and being july the plastic is not brittle as it needs to bend a bit while fitting in the channels. As an aside I found that climair do the manufacturers own ones for ford so this gave me more confidence that they were good and would last. I have now fitted and had a chance to drive in the summer rain. I tried doing the driver side first to see what difference it makes to noise and water coming in. It worked fine with reduced noise and no drips so fitted passenger side as well. Whether its worth £53 with free amazon delivery and whether it will add £53 extra drag to my energy consumption who knows as driving with windows open can reduce overall efficiency. As others have said I can hope to drive a bit without air con or heater/fan and perhaps save a bit on charging. I have attached a few photos to show before and after.

I have also enclosed few photos of MG5 Phone holder from Ali Express. Being for the LHD version of the car it puts the phone on the left, and I made a few modifications (cuts with hacksaw) so that the phone is in the right place while driving RHD.
