Mileage range on full charge

I have a 71 plate mg ZS, what is people's mileage range on a full charge please. I feel mine is low, dealership says it's normal but I'm not sure.

There are a few things to consider:

1) All vehicles, EV and ICE, have reduced range in winter.
2) The predicted range is based on previous driving habits and conditions.
3) Charge to 100% and let it perform cell balancing so that all the cells in the battery are equal so that the software can make a more accurate prediction.

I'm not sure if you mentioned what model your car is but there are two types of batteries, one is the Long Range.
I can't speak for the Standard Range one but my Long Range (LR) was doing nearly 300 miles in the warmer summer months but now I'm only getting 220 - 230 miles.
The cold weather really zaps the capacity of the battery.
If you have no comparison and only had the car in the winter months I'm not supprised you think it's low.

Cold weather is even harsher on cars like the ZS EV, that does not have a heatpump.

If you need 4 kilowatt of heat, in the ZS you burn 4 KW of electricity, in a car with a heatpump you need 1 to run the heatpump that will then be able to extract 4 KW heat from the outside (approximate numbers used here...)

What sort of m/kWh are you currently getting.
I get low 3's on cold mornings but mid 4's on a warm day.

Full charge for me standard range 2022 is 240kms in winter.

STD range or LR ?.
Two completely different chemistry battery types and total capacities also .

I'm getting 143 miles in normal mode in my 23 plate SR trophy in this cold weather.

Edit: I should add it hasn't been used since Christmas day & it's been -3C overnight temps here, with just 1-2C daytime temps the last few days.

My ZS EV Gen 1 (Nov 20) is only doing maybe 100+ miles in this cold weather. Recent service says the battery is down to 90% capacity after 39,000 miles.

I'll see what summer brings, and maybe upgrade the car.

TBH, it does what I want and need, I rarely go on long trips, in the winter anyway...and its a great car..

The cold weather and the use of the cabin heater is the primary reason for consumption of the range.
EV’s are like people, we prefer the warmer climate conditions .
When choosing an EV that will suit your requirements, if it will do the job fine in the winter time, then it will be more than enough in the spring / summer time.

Yeah the lack of a heatpump really comes with a range penalty in the winter.
