I have zs ev long range, when purchased was told i would get an average of 273 miles/charge. Checked MG web site and thats what it says, I'm not going fast or accelerating hard on eco mode and no heating on. Has anyone else got the same issue?

In winter you wont get 273 miles, but 160 miles is very low for 100% charge. What is the % charge set to? it might be at 80%.
The estimeated mileage is just that, it is based on temp, your past drives etc.

No. I always use normal mode and have the heating on, it's much nicer in this weather.

My MG5 was 4.3m/kWh during the summer but now hovering around 3m/kWh so your figure is not far off a similar return.

Charged to 100% and the 160 miles was in August. I'm getting less now as using heating.
I've checked it several times and still the same.

Next would be to clear the trips history, turn off a/c etc and see what it reports. If it was reporting 160 in August then I would go to the dealer for a check? Mine estimated 200 miles @ 80% until this cold snap, still reporting 170 though (at 80%)

Its a function of electric cars, it isnt anything you are or aren’t doing

On fully charging it reports 260 but actually only gives 160. Been to garage they told me to discharge as far as I could then recharge on trickle charge. Done that but still no better.

I think the mg website is quite fair with the range quotes at different speeds?
Here is a post with realistic winter and summer range
Here it's the realistic range

You don't need to use a 'trickle charger' as any type 2 AC EVSE can be used to balance the batteries but it could take a few hours after it has reached 100%

After an overnight charge yesterday, it showed 222 miles. After a quick trip to a local shop before we set off on our long journey, when I switched the car on again it said 232 miles!

I don't take too much notice of the GOM and go by how much charge is left.

I have found the opposite on several occasions eg the clock tells me I have X left on this charge, but when I turn off the engine (coffee break for example), but when I start the car back up, it would always drop the miles left.

I'm getting 167 on 80% and 200 on 100% in this weather. I thought there was something wrong but it seems I get the same as the rest of you. If I switch to eco mode from normal it only adds 5 to 10 miles to the range so not worth it.

Hi all I have a ZS not long range which in the summer was showing around 212 for full charge but now only 135 is this normal
when i purchased the car they told me it would drop off a bit during the cold weather but not to the extent it has I did phone the dealer and was told it was due to how it’s being driven has anyone else found this

Yes normal without trip resets

Mine shows about 270 to 280 on a 100% charge but I know it will do at best 200 - 220 on a full charge in this weather on motorway. Probably a bit more with only city driving but haven't tried since most of our journey is a mix of motorway and city. Weekly average is about ~130 miles and use up 50 - 60% battery for it.

You get less range in the cold. The accumulated trip totals go down when you leave the car running/defrosting etc. And if you sit running lights and heaters whilst on a rapid charger it goes down even more. More things used it thinks it’s running less efficiently . I find resetting the accumulated totals every few days makes it more realistic a “guess” just charge more often and expect less range coz of the cold. Its -9 most mornings for me just now and it’s running fine

I put the Gen 1 ZS EV on charge overnight to do a balance & with a full charge both trips reset I'm seeing 143 miles on the GOM.
The SOC had always been 96.9% for a full charge but today it's showing 95.2%. The SOH sees to have crept down a smidgen further from last month from 98.92 to 98.7 for such a low mileage car.
