Oh the joy of those vacuum operated wipers ?I had not been using the Air Con and the air is set to the windscreen. The only car I had that suffered like this was a1957 Ford Popular with a recirc heater!!

I use Rainex anti fog on the inside of the windscren and I rarely have to put the screen demist on.I find that the car mists up very quickly in even the smallest rain shower and requires the air con to clear it. The air input was set to automatic and changing it to external only made no difference, anybody else had the problem of excess misting. I wonder if the input is stuck on recirc.
Ah yes, going up a hill with the vaccuum tank depleting and the wipers getting slower hoping that you get to the crest before they stop altogether, then down the otherside whilst they try to self destruct.Oh the joy of those vacuum operated wipers ?
The Leyland National buses had air operated power steering and brakes so during slow manoeuvring the engine was on tickover so the air compressor wasn't replenishing the air tanks so all of a sudden the steering would become flipping heavy a few seconds before the brakes locked on.Oh the joy of those vacuum operated wipers ?
Sorry if this stating the obvious:I use Rainex anti fog on the inside of the windscren and I rarely have to put the screen demist on.
The usual issue is that air intake is set to recirc or Auto. If you switch it to external it usually fixes the misting up problemI can adjust the temperature and fan speed with voice control and can turn the hvac (the whole system) on and off but have failed to find a voice command to switch the a/c compressor on or off.
I also get excessive misting and haven’t found a solution yet.
