Well, its been slightly over one year now. I still haven't got used to the tricks my MG plays on me. For instance sometimes when I get into it, and it goes into drive mode, it decides that it will continue to play the radio or it doesn't. Or it decides that the weather tile will work this time, or not be interested. Sometimes it decides I can move off without putting on my seat belt, at other times it stubbornly refuses to move until I belt up. When I choose not to go through my pre-drive checklist (like a pretend pilot), and turn off LKA and EAB, because I'm going on a short journey it decides to jerk me back to my lane vigorously or to slam on its brakes for no reason. It does keep me on my toes.
It does make my old ICE car seem so frumpy. After all, I just got into it, pressed the start button, put it into gear and off it went. It went where I pointed it (weird), it braked only when I pressed the brake pedal (no fun). It also stubbornly kept the radio on when I started the car, unless I had turned it off previously (ridiculous). It also allowed me to take an occasional trip out of the metro area, knowing I would get back if I needed to fill up to do so. In Perth if you go more than about 100 kilometers from town you may be lucky to find a charger that isn't broken or does not have a que of cars all ready waiting.
I guess I will continue to put up with its little idiosyncrasies as it is a sweet little thing.......but if anybody offered me a good price;). Not sure the wife would agree!
