MG4 Trophy ER
I thought i would dip my toe into the world of EVs. My budget being around 22kish pounds, bagged a MG4 trophy 6 mths ago , it was 6 mths old on a 73reg with 1,800 miles didn't really want a orange one but hey at that price its on the drive , and the colour grows on you . Been driving for 40 years so had lots of cars , for me for the money after 6 mths its good value , Build quality is adequate for the price very good in some areas , if you want Audi quality ..... buy an Audi.

Sound system's fine , drive position is ok, loads of leg room front and back , rear wheel drive is good for a bit of fun , lots of tech (get back to that), economy is good , people i know have Audi / BMW EVs and the MG4 hold its own on kWh, I did Canterbury to Lytham Lancashire with only one 20min charge 340+ miles. Yes there are niggles , 360° camera is great. LKA don't mind it when it twitches a little , road sign recognition is bug bearer on a lot of EVs, works 95% of the time just picks up the odd side road sign, the good thing is it always slows you down and not overspeed.

Bluetooth / radio dropping every now and again. Had a Renault back twice to the dealership for the same fault also my friends Nissan as been back several times .Cruise control used it a few times , no issue take the strain away , Rear anti collision saved me twice reversing out, and the overtaking warning is great safety tech. Only return to the dealer was the infamous tray bulge last week , had it fixed in 30 mins ( very impressive by the dealer). Just had its first service and software updates for free. Bottom line for less than 1 3/4 p per mile .

Problem in some cases and I do stress not all cases are expectations, and if you're unlucky a bad dealership which leads to a death by a thousand niggly cuts , a lot of which don't really stop you driving the car , which is its main purpose , and have a bit of fun .....it looks good., good economy , lots of tech more than some. Don't forget the AA cover , and is VFM. For for me reading lots of reviews MG could help themselves if the dealerships could improve service . What car of the year 2024 what car don't get wrong most of the time....

PS funny haven't seen that very positive review published on the site only the negative press reviews . (maybe i missed it) Market forces have had a hit on all EV resale prices, can't change that but with a 7 warranty it gives some peace of mind if you keep it, or when you come to sell it with warranty ( my view is it will go with three years on it more than some offer new today).

Paragraphs please ... that wall of text is near-impossible to read. (For me at least).

Edit: you'd already posted (what I assume to be) mostly the same commentary here.

There are a lot of folk on here who love their 4's and no car is 100% perfect :)
