Hi all, new forum member and first time EV car owner here.
Just collected my new mg5 trophy from dealers this week and having a poke around was surprised to see how dirty/dusty the engine bay was when I removed the cover.
Looked like the car had been driven over from china!
Any one else come across this?

Someone else mentioned that. I expect it's just been sitting at Portbury docks for a year or so.

Welcome to the forum,
You could ask the dealer to steam clean it

This is what mine looked like 2 months after getting the car:

I received my MG5 Trophy in August and you'd swear it had been to the Sahara. I've never had a brand new car that's looked so grubby, even the window seals looked mouldy.

Had my 2 year old second hand's cover off to scope out frunking options and was suprised how dusty it was, spiders, few leaves...
Quiet a contrast from the outside paintwork.
(Miles better than my old ICE after Halfords left oiler filler cap off though ?‍♂️)
