Hey all,

I’ve picked up my car today and it appears to have some issues:

1. it has a loud whistling from the front drivers side pillar when travelling over 50mph

2. It looks like the sunroof seals are coming away from the car.. I’ve tried to take photos of it below:

they've suggested they may need to replace the sunroof, but I’ve noticed a lot of steaming up in the car so am looking for advice?

regards
Ricky

Agree with Chrispydos and do it asap! And don't stand for no BS, some of these MG dealers have not got the sense or backup from MG manufacturing.

I think steaming up seams to be an issue in all MG EV when people are trying to conserve power by not using the ventilation system cause of the power drain as soon as you switch on the ventilation system

ill fitting sunroof ...water ingress......damp car.....steaming up...Its very common with other (old) cars.

You shouldn't have it in a new car.

On our car we have no condensation issue on entering the car, it is after you have been in the car and it starts to heat up inside, I believe owners are finding this an issue simply because the MG ventilation system shows a power drain as soon as you switch on the ventilation system to get the fans working, some might be reluctant to do this, In winter we are unwilling to open a window to cure the issue, the answer is just switch on the ventilation system, it’s what you would do with any other car.

I agree. Decent level of heat and higher fan speed keep windows clear when necessary. It's only if your destination/nearest chargepoint is only just within range and you need to conserve power. Otherwise why have the benefits of a ventilation system and not use it effectively. Yes it will hit your miles/kW but at least you can see where you are going.
