OBDLink CX --> ABRP but sets the alarm off !

It's a measure of the manufacturer against CAN hacking and can't be disabled.
Owner of different brands as VAG, BMW.... suffer from same problem. The only solution is to remove the Bluetooth OBD Dongle or switch it Off before locking the car.

I got my OBD2 dongle and it works nicely. But does set off the alarm when using the iSmart app as expected. For now manual plugging is good enough, at least until we see if Enode works.

Not tried mine with ABRP but I imagine it does work - it works fine with Car Scanner. I leave mine plugged in all the time without the alarm going off. I paid £15.37 delivered.

Yeah that one sets the alarm off too.

Your OBD2 dongle has to be disconnected, I've had it many a time forgetting to disconnect from Car Scanner before locking the car.

I own the CX and the key to not setting the alarm off when locking the car with it left plugged into the obd port is to quit and close the ABRP app to stop it running in the background (thus killing the active connection to the CX). It's the active connection that causes the alarm to go off.

I'm now wondering if there's a way to automate the ABRP shutdown... on Android at least! Although, since I'm using home assistant to query the SAIC API and link it to ABRP via their API, then I no longer need to use the OBD2 option...

My Vgate works fine if I’m just connected to it via the phone but I also have the car scanner app on Apple CarPlay and if I connect through there ( which is great as you can see dashboards as you're driving), then the alarm goes off after I lock the car and walk away. So I try to remember to take the dongle out after I’ve used it.
