Thinking of approx £2k. What's referral credit? Are you going for over £1k to get some referral credit?
Hoping for 10% return. Is that sensible?

I invested £3K which should generate 5,000 kWh about half of my energy use. They say that should give me a savings rate of 6.40p/kWh or £327 in the first year. Kirk Hill has been delayed a month so should see a return starting from next January. Also have solar panels and home battery which provides most of my power in summer period.I've reserved myself a share in the ripple solar park. How are you getting on with the wind farm. Did you have to invest many ££££? What are your returns likely to be like?
I went for the EDFGo38 18p off peak, 10 hours overnight and all weekend, seemed a more flexible option for our needs.EDF Go35 currently has the cheapest overnight rate at 4.5p for 5 hrs per night but the day rate is expensive.
Hi Mick,So I have tried for 3 days trying to speak to British Gas no joy.
Does anyone know if BG do off peak electric? (Can't find anything on my bills)
If not who does the best off peak electric and do I need a smart meter.
Thanks in advance
Mick.
I think you mean BG? Looks like a good tariff, its great to see competition starting between suppliers. Definately cheaper if Octopus dont lower their rates by the time I come to renew (Aug)Hi Mick,
We just placed our order for a MG4 Trophy Long Range in grey with Bristol Street Motors) delivery towards the end of April (cancelled order) . Not sure if you need a smart meter, as we already have one.
BR offer EV tariff (Mid-night to 5am and 10p/Kwh , I think Octopus is 4 hours at 12Kwh Energy - Gas & electricity quotes
Yes BGI think you mean BG? Looks like a good tariff, its great to see competition starting between suppliers. Definately cheaper if Octopus dont lower their rates by the time I come to renew (Aug)
Check out OVO as they have a 10p/kWh rate but watch for tie in fees as Octopus don't have anyYes BG.
BUT the day Kwh rates go up, and as does the standing charge (Not set by the utility companies). So I would suggest you work on running washing machine/dryer the nights your not charging the MG !
You can charge your car and run your appliances…Yes BG.

So finally I'm getting my smart meter fitted on the 4th May. Told BG I wanted there EV tariff and boom yes we can fit one next month. When it's fitted I'm moving supplier. So I have tried for 3 days trying to speak to British Gas no joy.

I have also decided to get a home charger looking at the home home pro unless anyone thinks different?
TIA
Yes it is good to see some competition starting. Octopus the go to choice for ages is starting to look second best. Hopefully they will respond.I think you mean BG? Probably talking about surge protection, not overcurrent.New regs also suggest installation includes an over current device incase of lightning strikes, (BG £140 or so).
Your right, over voltageProbably talking about surge protection, not overcurrent.
Yes if your getting 3.5mpkw it's reasonable to say that I would say 20 miles as you don't normally get 7kw at car endWith a home charger 7kw I've read I would get 25 miles charge per hour .
Does that sound right?
TIA
With a LR with a 61kWh battery charging at just under 7kW then in an hour you will get about 10% added to SOC. Overnight in my 4 hour window it is usually somewhere around 42-44%.With a home charger 7kw I've read I would get 25 miles charge per hour .
Does that sound right?
TIA
