Offside passenger door won’t open

Necro of an old post but...
Brand new MG HS petrol, front passenger door won't open from inside.
On pulling the inside lever there's no "half-pulled satisfying unlock click" that you would expect.
Tried unlocking/locking with key, engine on, engine off, unlocking with outside button, setting all doors / drivers door only unlocking from comfort and conv settings, double pull of handle, locking/unlocking all doors with interior button etc. No child lock switch on door as it's front seat.
Only thing that opens the door is pulling the exterior handle, boo!
Not an EV, will be contacting the dealer Monday to see if there's a magic trick I've missed

ours has just started passenger door handle not opening car i get out and open from ouside car just a year old
