Only getting 139 miles on full charge is this normal

In cold weather with the heater on this is about right. I got 126 miles on a recent 2 degree day!

Normal behaviour I think, probably based on your previous driving. To be sure you can reset the trip meters - all of them, especially the cumulative one - charge, balance and then put it in Eco mode. Estimated range should be more in the region of what MG states then.

Are you running on the Jan 21 BMS update or the original factory software ?.
As stated above, reset ALL of your trips.
Ensure all electrical items are turned OFF.
Then, do a complete charge and balance.
When completed, reboot the car with your foot OFF the foot brake.
Scroll through your settings until you get to the battery / power screen.
With the new BMS you should be figures close to 448 - 450 volts and a predicted range of around 161 - 163 miles.
This should be seen in the default mode of NORMAL & Regen Level 3.
These figures only apply IF you are running on the Jan 21 BMS update.

I'm getting 452 volts on a full charge. Does that put me in old BMS territory?

I got my ZS in February 2021 and blithely assumed I had got the new BMS and everything was groovy. But I am in New Zealand and it is quite possible we're behind the times ... I am wondering now, particularly, as my car is gravely telling me she can only manage 261kms now, having travelled less than 10K kms. And this at the height of summer, with trip computers reset.

Hmmm ... and losing 3v (from 455 to 452) in under 10km seems quite a significant depletion.

Due for fist service in Feb, so will discuss this with dealer then.
You don't loose voltage with degradation etc.
You only loose voltage if not very balanced.
And potentially if the car is under any load. After fully charged/balanced, start the car without the brake pedal pressed, then check the voltage.

Curious, as I usually granny charge and balance regularly.

I thought the original BMS was 455v and the new one 448; so how have I got a fruit loop of a car with 452?

It would appear that you have the factory software, that should be showing 455 456 volts, but due to some imbalance , your voltage is a little low.
New BMS would be reading 448 - 450 volts.
This figures are both after a full charge and balance, with both trips reset and the booted up with nothing running in the back ground.
Especially the HVAC !.

Mine initially spends about 5 minutes balancing after a full charge and shows 455V.
If I unlock it then re-lock it, it starts to balance again and carries on for a further 20-30 minutes and then shows 456V.
It's worth restarting the charge (balance) after it's finished to see if you can eek a bit more out of it I think.
FWIW GOM didn't change, showed 158 miles in Normal with nothing on (real world about 135-140 miles).

I would guess to get 452v you’re not fully balanced, or you have something on pulling power when you’re reading the voltage.
