Ora are going to need to do something special if they are not going to fail heavily in the UK in particular.
Ora are relying on style over substance, hence trying to align themselves as a "brand" in a similar way to Mini. FIAT have tried the same unsuccessfully with 500, and arguably BMW have destroyed the Mini brand in recent years with vast and very average ICE. Quite how a dodgy Chinese company who screwed over the British punters before as Great Wall can expect to create a premium brand just by saying it is so is beyond me. And then they launch a mediocre overpriced product with limited dealer support in a haphazard way - it is doomed to fail with very poor residuals for those punters who make the mistake of buying one.
