Hi all.

This is something I've wanted to ask for ages but hasn't been a priority.

I plug the phone in with a usb to the first port. It connects to Android auto and Bluetooth. Everything works. No problem. (Phone calls, apps like Spotify). But if I want to play a YouTube video on my phone whilst connected it starts and stops. It's like something is telling it to pause. No Bluetooth sound comes out. The main reason I've discovered this is that that I use an app called ymusic to play YouTube music directly and the same thing happens there -just pauses.

Any thoughts?

Are you connecting the phone with Carplay and to the cars built in bluetooth at the same time?

My assumption is carplay will take all the audio etc and stream via the USB, rendering you not needing to use the cars bluetooth and you can turn that off.

I use ymusic also and android auto does not recognise it, put AIMP or it could be A1MP on your phone, it will transfer all your ymusic onto it and is recognised by android auto , and its free! It also has a good sound equaliser built in for fine tuning.
Can't help with the video element.

Carplay will not allow connection via bluetooth to the car. It's a licensing issue. I assume android auto might act the same way?
Android Auto specifically uses both Bluetooth and USB cable connection (or wireless if you have an AA dongle). BT is used for calls but the AA connection is used for everything else.

Not all apps are AA-compatible.
