After nearly three and a half hours trying to get home from Galashiels 47 miles away through heavy rain. Edinburgh city impass and some city streets with I guess around 200to250 mm of floodwaters full of bits of bumpers and number plates. I gave up on the A 720. bypass and diverted into IKEA for a coffee and came out to a punctured front nearside tyre.
So I can confirm the jack etc works and the emergency spare wheel is wonderful.
I’m sorry I annoyed the idiot taxi driver honking his lights and flashing his horn at me doing 45 preserving my emergency tyre.

Continuing with the aircraft theme, one I took of an F35 at RIAT a few years back:

That brings back memories. I used to go quite regularly and was there in 1993 when the two Russian MIG-29s had a coming together. I also remember the Battle of Britain Flight and Concorde flying low level down the runway.
Unfortunatly all those photos are on slides in the loft somewhere.

I’ve just had two new Michelin Crossclimate 2 tyres fitted but sadly I now will have to reverse everywhere.
I can’t believe they’ve fitted these directional tyres the WRONG WAY ROUND ??????

The last car I brought here to HUNTERS OF LINLITHGOW was my wife’s Citroen C3. The engine undertray fell off by the time I drove 3 miles home. They said they’d chucked away the bolts and clips and used tie wraps but they’d use double stronger tie wraps next time ? I insisted they got a set of brackets and bolts.

Peak Dave....or the good ol' days ??
Archaic arch - the good older days ??

Younger brother on bike. Camping trip to south west end of Mull.
Triumph T21 3TA 350cc with an unbraked sidecar. Interesting to drive on single track tarred roads - An absolute nightmare on rough farm tracks ?
