R63 with CarPlay

Anyone with R63 and CarPlay?
Does the upper bar of the infotainment stay on top?

(With R40 the CarPlay was full screen)

Yes it stays.

It was the same in 1300R59. (Likewise in the SE this "feature" was introduced in 1100R33 and remained in 1100R38).

Makes more sense for it to stay so you can see outside temp, have access to the fog light switch and swipe down access to HVAC and function shortcuts without having to exit carplay/andriod auto screen

Except that with 1300R59+ and 1100R38 you can't access the swipe down menu without exiting AA (not sure about in CP). It's something to do with an Android security feature preventing drawing over other apps.

Same for CarPlay. I just double press the climate on/off and it pops up over CarPlay anyway.
