The other day I was away from home and needed to charge. I tried a NRMA (Australia) charger and it was unable to communicate with the car. I tried another charging location, and the same thing occurred. At this stage I had less than 20km left, so I was getting a bit concerned.
It occurred to me that maybe a computer reset would fix it, so I disconnected the 12v battery, reconnected, and bingo, it all worked.
So this leads me to the issue that there seems to be no way to reset the computer other than disconnecting the battery. I'm a tech nerd, so doing that is easy. But for the average person it means a call to roadside assist.
Imagine having to call an electrician each time your home computer needed a reboot!
Any thoughts?
