SAIC iSMART on AU/NZ MG4s

Hey guys, I've had no issues with iSmart for a while and suddenly it cannot 'find' the car any more.
Whenever I load the app it goes to the 'scan' part where before it would go through the items pretty quickly now it just hangs there..
I'm unable to find the battery status, stop or start charges, etc
Did anything happen recently? I was on 1.0.4, updated to 1.0.6, cleared cache but still no good. Was there maybe a switch to the new API?

I have it on 2 different phones sadly

Does that make a difference? Could still be worth a try.

I'm on version 1.06 and it's working fine, but I've only recently installed it, so no change from one to the other

Sorry I thought I posted a screenshot but it did not go through...Anyway my observations:
1. it started working again briefly and then the next day stopped to this day.
2. I also tried from the car to open the 'user' screen and it would complain about the network.
3. If the car was connected to my wifi it worked (User screen) immediately

Still even on wifi the app did not work...
Kind of aggravating, I can't set the AC to turn on anymore before I go to the car or remotely check SoC

I had the same issue, it turned out that the bin number for my car had fallen out of the system. I contacted MG and within 5 hrs it was sorted.

Part of the issue might be that you are using it on two phones for the same car. The car can only be used with ismart on one phone.

I have had iSmart on my Android phone since the car was new in September last year. Now on version 1.06 & it always works. It can take a few seconds to wake the car up if there has been no connection for some time. Often it will say cannot find the cars GPS when opening the app but within 10 to 20 seconds it connects.

I have tested and used every iSmart feature.

Incorrect. The car can be used with as many devices as you wish ... the car is bound to an account, not a device. The only caveat is that you can only be logged in on one device at a time - login on another device and the previous device gets logged out.

Try unlocking and relocking the car with the keyfob, it may have gone into sleep mode.

Im on version 2.0.3 , was working fine then i couldnt check battery status , it would scan car ok but not charge. But was only for 1 day maybe they were doing updates

I used it on my tablet and phone at the same time , admittedly I get token expired but simply log in and it works

Hi there,

I haven't been able to get onto the app from my iphone now for about 6 months. I have uninstalled the app several times, cleared the cache, signed out but without success. I'm not sure if i have signed out on the car. How do i do that?
I have spoken to the MG dealer and they shrug their shoulders and say there is a problem.

Anybody got any other ideas how i can get beyond the binding screen?

Try taking off the 12 volt battery terminals for a minute or so
