Service Plans

I've heard that the price of service plans can vary between dealers and that sometimes it's cheaper to buy through the mg portal.
I can't get a quote using the portal yet because the car reg isn't recognised as I don't collect it until Thursday.
Presumably you can take out the service plan with any dealer at any time and you are not bound to sign up when you collect the car?

You could always go on Autotrader and use a registration number from there on the MG website to get an idea of the cost before the selling dealer gives you a price.

Correct. I bought my car from one dealer but got a service plan from another. Check if it's a basic service plan or if it includes any extras.

Mine was a little more than some but does include either fetching and returning the car or a courtesy car while it's being serviced, free puncture repairs (which I have used) and discount on any other parts and labour not covered by the plan or warranty.
